Within the last year, a new breed of digital camera arose: The System Compact. Small enough to fit in your pocket and looking much like other point and shooters, these cameras are part of a system that includes auxiliary lenses, removable flash (often the same flashes that can be used with the same company's DSLRs), optical viewfinders, and more. Many of them are priced in the low-end DSLR range.
